Yeah, my friends are random and wierd. They do all sorts of stupid and crazy stuff so I'm used to it. Emilie sighed, smiling faintly as she chuckled at herself. "I'm sure they never did anything as stupid or crazy as trying to seduce a drunk man for whatever money he had in his wallet." She muttered, half to herself, though she looked up at Mike as if she was speaking to him. Her smile faded suddenly as she rested her hands in her lap. Her eyes floated downward again. Perhaps she should find other means of getting money. What if that man had hurt her further than just leaving her with a scarred lip and a sprained ankle?

"Well, I don't think any of them have done that but. We all went downtown when it was raining. We were dancing and singing in the streets." He said, laughing. He thought about those happy times and good memories. "We also went down to the beach and did something like that." He added, looking down at her, smiling.

Well, I don't think any of them have done that but. We all went downtown when it was raining. We were dancing and singing in the streets. We also went down to the beach and did something like that. Emilie smiled broadly as he spoke, staring up at him, giggling softly. As she thought of her own past, all the people she spent time with over the years, she had very few she considered friends. She had April and Max, and that was about it. But now April was dead, and she didn't really speak much to Max anymore. All the others were simply accquantances, people who knew her but didn't really care much for her welfare unless she had something that they needed. Her smile faded a little as she looked down. She sighed dreamily. "That sounds like fun..." She said gently as her laughing tapered off.

"Yeah." Mike simply replied, he was getting close to the dorms now. His mind was racing with questions and thoughts. Thoughts about anything, everything. He let out a tiny sigh, his smile fading quickly. He came even closer to the girl's dorms. "Which one is yours?" He asked her, not really wanting to leave her.

Yeah. Emilie nodded once, turning her eyes back to Mike. She looked up at him, gently resting her head on his chest innocently. She hoped he wouldn't mind, but she was growing tired and her ankle was beginning to feel numb. She closed her eyes, losing herself in her thoughts, though she snapped back to reality quickly at the sound of his voice. Which one is yours? She looked up at him, her jaw dropping as she yawned softly. Were they that close to the dormitories already? Oh, how she wished they weren't. She enjoyed being with Mike, his company. He was rather nice. She looked toward the dorms, outstretching her arm gracefully toward one of the doors to the far right. "That one." She answered firmly.

Mike watched her hand point to a door on the right. He started to walk towards it. When he got there he gently put her down, helping her stand. "Do you want me to help you in?" He asked, looking at her. "I could help you get settled if you want." He added, hoping she would say yes.

Emilie rested her hand on her lap again, staring intently at the door to her room. She tried to picture what it was like inside, though she couldn't really remember, despite the fact she was in there earlier that day. As tired as she was beginning to feel, and late as it was beginning to get, she didn't want to go inside just yet. She didn't want to leave Mike so suddenly. She rather liked him, which was odd, because normally she didn't like many people. Then again, she didn't really get the chance to know many people. She sighed softly as he put her down, once again trying not to put any weight on her left leg. She gently held his hand to keep her balance as she took her keys out of her back pocket.
Do you want me to help you in? Emilie heard him ask as she put the key in the door. She smiled faintly, looking back at him, then at the door. She fumbled for a moment with the lock, though finally, it clicked, and she opened the door slightly. I could help you get settled if you want. She gave him her complete attention, her eyes looking rather overjoyed that he offered. She nodded slowly. "If you.. wouldn't mind..?" She said cutely, almost in a form of a question. She didn't want him to leave just yet.
Emilie pushed the door open a little more and reached around, turning the light on. She sighed softy with relief; her room wasn't as much of a mess as she feared it was. Her bed wasn't made, but it never was. The lime green carpet was visible, which was a good sign, since normally it was filled with clutter and papers and sheet music. But, at the moment, all of her papers and music was stacked neatly on the dresser beside her black laptop, which was closed and on it's charger. There was a string hanging from one wall to the other, multicolored, striped socks hanging from it. They were ones she rarely wore, extras she had, for decoration. There were a few hanging from the keyboard in the corner of the room, as well. They were clean, so it wasn't totally creepy or weird. The wallpaper over the walls was an assortment of light, pastel colors, blue, purple, green (that matched the green in the carpet), white, pink, etc. It was very dreamlike and cute, probably the opposite of what Emilie appeared to be. But, looks can be deceiving.

"Sure." He replied, helping her in. He looked around the room and was suprised at how bright and girly it looked. He smiled, trying to help Emilie to the bed. "Here sit down." He told her, trying to not walk fast. "Do you have ice for your ankle?" He asked, looking around for a freezer type thing.

Sure. Emilie smiled, following his lead daintily. Here sit down. She nodded slowly, doing as he instructed. She sat down on her bed, running her hand against the soft, down comforter she had. She sighed, turning her attention to her ankle, remembering her attempt to escape from the man's clutches, but her shoes stopped her from doing so, and caused her ankle to sprain. She smiled faintly, though she snapped away from her reminiscence once she heard Mike's voice again. As if on command, her head turned upward immediately to look at him.
Do you have ice for your ankle? Emilie looked around her room, as if she herself, was uncertain. After a moment's pause, she shook her head. "No... Not that I know of." She answered softly. She looked toward her dresser, getting an idea. She leaned forward on the bed, laying down on her stomach as she reached toward the top drawer. She tried to open it, though it was to no avail. She couldn't reach. She sighed, sitting up straight again. "I may have a ribbon in the top drawer that may be long enough to tie around it, though." She suggested, turning her head toward Mike, her eyes pleading. "Would you mind looking for me...?" She asked, her voice sounding childish and innocent as she flashed him a broad, cute smile. "There's nothing weird or strange or anything in there, I promise."
Emilie looked toward the drawer, trying to pick out what exactly was in there. It was mostly things for her hair, such as scrunches, hair pieces, ribbons, bows, things of that nature. Maybe some jewelry or something, as well, maybe even a pack of cigarettes or two. But Emilie didn't smoke as often as she used to, especially since April died. Drinking was a different story, however.
She glanced upward for a moment at the big mirror positioned above the dresser. But, for once, it wasn't in a 'I'm so beautiful' kind of sense, but instead, more of a self-conscious one, as if she was questioning her appearance. She turned away quickly, though, as if she didn't want Mike to notice. She looked down, then onto her bed, where her violin was sitting. She looked confused for a moment... didn't I put it away before I left? She asked herself. Oh, well. She picked it up delicately in her white hands, admiring it for a moment. Emilie loved her violin. She took great pride in it, that, and her voice. She was self taught, both in singing and playing the violin, along with the drums and the piano, as well, and she had mastered all of them. It was the one thing in her life she took at least a little pride in.

"Okay, I'll get the ribbon, just keep your ankle up." He instructed her, turning towards the drawer. He slowly opened it, looking at the contents in it. There was mostly hair stuff and a little bit of jewelry. He saw a long, thick ribbon and took it out. "Here I think this should work." He said walking over to her and handing her the ribbon. "I want to go and get some ice for it though to keep the swelling down." He told her. "Do you think any of your neighbors would have any?" He asked, not really familar with this part of the grounds.

Okay, I'll get the ribbon, just keep your ankle up. Emilie nodded, putting her violin down behind her. She outstretched her legs on the bed. She began to unlace the tall, black boots that were over her feet. That might help a little, especially when wrapping the ribbon around her ankle. She smiled faintly as she did so, sliding them off, revealing her small, delicate feet. She set the shoes down on the side of the bed, looking up as she heard Mike's voice once more.
Here I think this should work. Emilie smiled again, looking quite pleased he had found something. She took it from his hands gently. "Thank you, dear." She said with a nod as she began to wrap it around her ankle lightly, though every now and then she would tighten it a little. She tried to keep it loose, but if it was too loose it wouldn't do any good at all. I want to go and get some ice for it though to keep the swelling down. Emilie listened intently to him, though she didn't look up from what she was doing. Do you think any of your neighbors would have any? Finally, she paused and looked up. She didn't know who any of her neighbors were. She hesitated, racking her brain. She had to know someone...
She jumped suddenly with excitement, her head snapping upward as she thought of someone. "Nina Green might. She's the only girl I'm semi-acquainted with at this school." She said with a small laugh. The only reason Emilie knew Nina was because she was Max's sister, though they had only spoken a few times. "She might have some. I think she has one of those mini-refrigerators. I remember her brother talking about how her dad got her one." She said with a nod, before she continued to tie the ribbon around her ankle. "But you don't have to go and ask if you don't want to... You've helped me so much already. I can always get some ice in the morning or something." She said with a shrug. She did kind of feel bad; he had done so much, and she really didn't have any way to repay him.

" No it's fine. I want to make sure you are alright." He said, smiling at her. " Do you know which room is Nina's?" He asked, hoping that she did. Mike really wanted to make sure that Emilie was okay. ooc: you might want to change your first italics on the post above.lol.

(... Oh, shiz, sorry. hahah. I feel stupid now. I knew I was going to screw that up sooner or later, though, lol. Sorry. Hold on. I think I tried to copy the first quote, but it didn't copy right and I pasted that one, instead, lol. Sorry. I wasn't paying attention; I had to run and eat dinner. Plus, I have to try and write a 'how-to' essay sometime tonight. BAH.)
No it's fine. I want to make sure you are alright. Emilie giggled softly. "That's sweet of you." She said, her eyes shimmering with joy. Normally, people didn't really care much about her, so it made her feel nice to hear him say he wanted to make sure she was alright. It made her feel like she at least had one person who cared even a little bit about her. Do you know which room is Nina's? She tied a bow around her ankle and rested her hands on her thighs, thinking. "I think... She's..." Emilie paused, pursing her lips and putting her index finger over them. "Two doors down...?" Another hesitation before she outstretched her hand toward the right. "That way... If I'm not mistaken." Emilie was never very good with her left in right, which was probably why she was terrible at giving directions.

"Alright I'll be right back. Keep your ankle up!" He added as he left the room and went two doors down to the right, hoping that Emilie had given him the right dorm. He knocked on the door, hoping someone would be in there.

Alright I'll be right back. Keep your ankle up! Emilie laughed softly and nodded. "Gotcha." She said softly as she watched him leave. She laid back on her bed, looking around her room boredly. She sighed, staring toward the door, waiting for Mike to return. She hoped he would be back soon...
Nina jumped at the sound of someone knocking on her door. She was still awake, writing on her computer. She looked around skeptically. Who could that be? She wasn't fimiliar with many people around here besides her brother, but what would he want this late at night? She sighed, standing up and walking toward the door. She was wearing black pants and a black tank-top, something that was much less revealing that Emilie's outfit. Her feet were bare, however. She opened the door wearily, looking up at Mike in surprise. She looked a little confused.. she didn't know this kid, nor had she remembered seeing him around before. But, she didn't want to be rude. "Um... Hello.." She said uncertaintly. "Can I help you?" She asked. She was much smaller than he; she was a very petite young girl, and very short for her age of fifteen. She had a nose ring that was in her left nostril, along with beautiful, bright green eyes and soft, black hair that reached to about her shoulders.
