We shall. Max laughed softly at her happiness, glad to see her so jolly, especially after what had just happened to her. But, he wasn't going to question it. She was happy; he was most definitely not going to take that away from her. He nodded. He outstretched his arm in front of them, as if giving her permission to lead. "After you, my lady." He said polietely with a broad smile.

Marie giggled, walkind towards the door. She turned to Max. "I hope you didn't mind me doing that back there." She said, wanting to make sure that she hadn't offended Max or anything like that.

Max walked beside her, his hands shoved into his pockets. I hope you didn't mind me doing that back there. He laughed softly at this and shook his head. "No, not at all." He said jovially. He actually kind of enjoyed it, but he wouldn't say for fear that would be a little strange.

"Okay, thanks." She said turning back to the door. She opened it holding it open so that Max could walk in too.

Okay, thanks. He waited for her to enter first, even if she was offering for him to go. It was more poliete to allow the lady to go first, or so he was taught, and he wanted to uphold that. "After you." He said cordially with a smile. Rebellious young teenage boy he was, he knew how to act like a gentlemen.

Marie smiled. "Thanks." She said, walking into the building. She waited for Max to enter too. The room was bright because of the sunny day outside. Of course there were lights, but it didn't make a difference if they were on or off right now. She looked around, seeing if any of her friends were in here, but it was mostly empty. "So, what did you want?" She asked Max.

Thanks. Max nodded, following her as she walked in. He let the door shut behind him, standing beside Marie. He blinked a few times, his eyes adjusting to the bright light in the room. He was never in this place much. He didn't eat here often; it didn't strike him as completely sanitary, plus, the prices were a little inflated. Max never ate much, though. It's not that he was anorexic or anything, he was just never that hungry or interested in food.
He leaned back on the door boredly, kind of relieved there weren't many people here. Max didn't like large crowds. All of the people made him feel icky and self-conscious. He looked down, taking one hand out of his pocket and running it through his black hair. He glanced up at Marie as he heard her speak, though he didn't catch all of what she said. "Hmm?" He muttered, staring at her, raising his eyebrows in question.

"To eat? What did you want to eat?" She asked him again, smiling. She held her hand out, taking his. She didn't know what she wanted, maybe a lemon water and a piece of pie. She laughed at the thought, that was her lunch when she went to her old school.

To eat? What did you want to eat? Max stared at her blankly for a moment, as he was a little slow at processing what she was saying in his head. He shook his head, smiling faintly. He held her hand lightly as she took his, though the other one remained in his pocket. He shrugged. "Um.. I.. I guess I'll just get water or something." He said softly. "I'm not that hungry."

"Alright lets go then." She said, walking towards one of the lines. She didn't see anything she really liked so she went down the line with Max, smiling at the ladies who were behind the counter things. She held Max's hand, giving it a light squeeze. "Just a water then?" She asked him to make sure he didn't want anything else.

Alright lets go then. Max nodded, following after her. He stopped abruptly, however, taking a bottle of water from one of the coolers. He examined it, as if making sure there was nothing in it except water. They couldn't possibly screw up a bottle of water, though, could they? Max wouldn't put it past them. He walked over and put it on the counter, taking his wallet out from his back pocket as Marie walked over to him again. He smiled at her, gently holding her hand once more. Just a water then? He nodded as he took out the money he had put in there earlier. "Yeah... Are you going to get anything?" He asked curiously.

One of the ladies held out a piece of cheesecake. "Here you go hun." She said smiling.
Marie smiled and took the container. "Thanks." Marie replied looking back to Max. She had a regular water in her hand also. "Yep, I have my stuff here. Why don't you put your water right there on the counter and go find us a table." She said, more of telling him to. She would pay for his water and her stuff to. She placed her stuff down on the counter taking out her wallet.
"Your total is $3.75." Said the cashier. Marie took out four dollars handing them to her. The lady then gave Marie back a quarter. "Thanks." They both said and Marie turned to see where Max was.

Max leaned his hip on the side of the counter, watching as Marie got her cake. He smiled faintly at her. Yep, I have my stuff here. Why don't you put your water right there on the counter and go find us a table. He nodded, shoving his wallet back into his pocket, though he wasn't going to let her get away with paying for his stuff as well. He would feel bad, then. He put his water on the counter beside her stuff, stopping behind her, shoving a five-dollar bill in her pocket. It was a dollar or two extra than what she paid, but whatever. He smirked, walked over toward a table in the back that was free. A lot of them were free, actually, but Max prefered to stay away from the crowd.

Marie walked over to were Max was sitting a smirk on her face. "That wasn't neccisary." She said, laughing. She placed the stuff down on the table, grabbing a chair and pulling it next to Max. She took the five dollars out of her pocket and placed it in his hands.

Max laughed softly at the smug look over her face as he sat down. That wasn't neccisary. He smiled, looking semi-triumphant. "What ever do you mean?" He asked, deciding to play dumb. Max shook his head as she put the money in his hands. "This isn't mine -- I don't want it." He said in protest, placing the money back down in front of her.
