Turn up the radio.
Welcome to Chicago, mother!@#$%^.
At the top of the sears tower
I tongue kissed a coke-fiend at the after hours.
Turn up the radios.
Let's get out of control.
I wanna blow !@#$ up.
Loud laughter was heard throughout the forest as three people walked along the beautiful trail. Well, they weren't really on the trail anymore. The three had kind of strayed from it, though it probably was a little dangerous, considering the forest was rather large and home to many different creatures. But, neither Jasper Devine, Steven Marcantonio, or Aubree Marcantonio cared much. None of them were scared easily, especially miss Aubree, despite the fact she was the youngest there, and the only female. Unless you counted Stevie to be a girl, since he acted like one most of the time.
In Jasper's hand was a thick, dark brown bottle, half-filled with a dark liquid with a very strong scent to it. Alcohol. Nothing too heavy, just a bottle of beer. Though the drinking age in America was twenty-one, it was drastically lower in France. You were allowed to start drinking at sixteen there, and Jasper was seventeen now. He didn't drink often, though. His dad gave him a sip of beer on his sixteenth birthday, and he found it wasn't that bad. He would probably get in trouble if he was caught drinking now, though. Luckily, Jasper was good at playing the 'innocent French kid' card when it came to people in authority.
Aubree was sitting on Steven's shoulders, headphones in her ears, though they were turned up so loud Jasper and Stevie could hear the music blasting out of them, as well. They were all singing loudly, being slightly obnoxious, though Jasper was the only one with a good voice. Stevie wasn't bad, either, however, but Jasper had been singing and writing for much longer. In fact, they were all singing one of Jasper's songs now, which was called 'Welcome to Chicago, mother!@#$%^.' He wrote and recorded it when he first met Aubree and Stevie, who both came from Chicago. It was a rather funny song, though it might not have been that funny to the authoritarian figures around the school, since it involved blowing things up and kissing coke-fiends at the top of the sears tower and jello shots.
But these three kids didn't care. All were pretty crazy, though Steven was probably the most sane out of all of them, despite his feminism and sexuality. Though he was very different from most guys at the school, he probably had the smartest head on him, and probably the healthiest body. He was a brilliant mathematician, and could calculate large sums in his head in seconds. Plus, Stevie didn't eat or drink anything that wasn't organic, which meant no drugs or alcohol. It kept him out of trouble, and tried his best to keep his friends and younger sister out of it, as well. Though sometimes that didn't always work...
Well, all three were singing loudly about drugs and alcohol and living in Chicago, and two of them were splitting a beer, neither over the drinking age, at least in America. That was great. They were all dressed oddly, too, which added onto the greatness. Aubree was wearing a black and white striped tank-top with music notes drawn all over it, along with skinny, tight black jeans and black and white stripped flat shoes. Jasper was wearing his normal attire: An old, faded, white U2 concert T-shirt with a gap shirt underneath, along with a black NYC Tripps jacket that was worn and looked small for him now. Over his legs were a pair of female jeans (a size seven) he stole from his younger sister a while ago. His feet were covered by a pair of black and white Nike Terminators, though they were so ragged and worn-out now the white color no longer looked white. The gloves over his hands were tight and had the fingertips cut off, a pair of mechanics gloves he had stolen a while ago. A thin, black and white scarf was around his neck. Steven wore a black T-Shirt with a black and white striped jacket over it, the hood up over his head, covering some of his black hair. His legs were covered by skin tight black jeans (though, they were men's, unlike Jasper's) and black flats.
All of them looked like a gang trying to start some kind of fight in their dark, sinister looking clothing. But this was not the case at all. The three kids just wanted to have some fun, and they were determined to do so. So, they tried to get as far away from the school as they could by blazing their own trail through the forest at the risk of getting lost and never coming home again. Not that any of them really cared if they never went home. All of them had had some kind of feelings of being unwanted in their lives. Perhaps traveling together they would never have to feel that way again.
Jasper took a fast swig of the beer as he listened to the faded sound of the pounding drums blasting through Aubree's headphones. They sang loudly, all three of them, belting the lyrics and laughing hysterically. They were even dancing a little, or at least moving rhythmically to the beat of the song. "Yeah, it's four A.M. in a speeding car. O.D.'d on X and G, but what are you on? Turn up the radio. Turn up the radio. Turn. Up. The. Radio. Welcome to Chicago, mother!@#$%^. At the top of the sears tower I tongue kissed a coke-fiend at the after hours. Turn up the radios. Let's get out of control. I wanna blow !@#$ up."
It was profane, it was vulgar, but all three loved it to death, especially since Jasper wrote it himself. Their spirits were high and their happiness was very evident. But, maybe they were being a little too happy. Someone probably could've easily mistaken them to be drunk or high, especially since they were being so boisterous and Jasper had a bottle of beer in his hand. But, that was not the case at all. Neither Jasper, nor Stevie or Aubree were anywhere near drunk or high or some kind of drug. They were just having a good time, like good friends liked to do together.
"Never come down. Never come down. Never come down. Never come down, oh no. Just tell me are you being careful... Welcome to Chicago, mother!@#$%^. I ran after you 'cause later I might be dead. This jello shot i think went straight to my head. This isn't Moscow, this isn't Tokyo. We are invincible!" Most teenagers tend to think that way, that they are invincible. Like no one could ever touch them. Though these three teenagers may have been acting like they thought this way, they really never considered themselves to be totally indestructible, considering all of them had already be broken in some way in their lives, whether it be emotionally or physically.
[Song they are singing, in case any of you wanted to hear it.]
